Hurricane Irma Update

Categories:

Preliminary indications are that all GreenAccess public school projects fared well during the storm, experiencing no critical or major damage of which we are aware. GreenAccess public schools are built to the highest ratings and standards of storm protection, often beyond what is mandated by the state of Florida. Florida’s building codes are already among the most stringent in the U.S. Exceptionally hardened facilities, many of these schools were used as shelters for individuals and families ordered to evacuate ahead of the storms. We are proud to see such vital dual use being made of these facilities.

If any news becomes available about specific schools and damage, we will make that news known immediately.
